Ready - Set - Go!

Join us for a run or walk through the beautiful Pukekura Park. Registration will be at the Bellringer Pavilion, with start and finish on the Hatchery Lawn. 

Enter a 10 or 5km run or walk through a course set in surrounding main trails and single track, hills and flat. You may even discover a new track or two!  

Race will be a staggered start at 9am - make sure you've allowed time to get your race number beforehand and attend the compulsory safety briefing at 8.50am.

Entry information:

PARKING
The course is set in and around Pukekura Park, please allow plenty of time to park nearby and walk to registration at the Bellringer Pavilion. There is no parking at Brookland Zoo.

ELIGIBILITY
Open to all ages. Children under the age of 16 can run or walk as long as we have their parent/guardian’s signature on the entry form. Young children under 11 years old competing on the course must be accompanied by an adult.

REGISTRATION
All pre-entered participants need to register at the Pukekura Park Bellringer Pavilion between 7:30am and 8.30am on the day. Any participants who enter on race day will be registered at the time of entry.

RACE NUMBERS
Participants will be issued with a number at registration.

START TIMES AND TIMEKEEPING
Staggered start from 9am. Compulsory briefing for ALL competitors at 8.50am at the Hatchery Lawn. No official times will be recorded, we encourage you to do so yourself if you wish.

TOILETS AND DRINK STATIONS
Toilets are available at the Bellringer Pavilion.
Drink station will be at the Bellringer Pavilion. To reduce plastic waste please bring your own drink bottle or cup.

ANIMALS/VEHICLES/DRONES/EARPHONES
For your safety no pets, baby buggies, drones or earphones are allowed in the event. Competitors with pets, baby buggies, earphones will be disqualified.

REFUNDS
There will be no refunds of race entry fee should you not participate. Any other refunds are at the organisers discretion.

OWN RISK
All competitors compete at their own risk. New Plymouth Joggers and Walkers Club Inc or sponsors accept no responsibility as detailed on the conditions signed at entry.

CANCELLATION
In extreme weather or Force Majeure the event may be cancelled at any time. In this situation entry fees are non-refundable. If in doubt, please check our Facebook page and listen to More FM. If possible the organisers will try and reschedule the event for a later date.

REFRESHMENTS
Refreshments will be available for purchase at The Tea House on the Lake.

SPOT PRIZES
Spot prizes will be distributed upon completion of your event. Check your race number at the finish line to see if you have won a prize.
